I love my bike

But, if you've been reading this blog, you already know this. For my husband's birthday, he got a new bike. It's just like my bike only for boys and this year's model. We went for our first ride yesterday. I am going to have a hard time keeping up with him now that he has the new bike. We rode for 22 miles.

Here's what I love about riding my bike:

  • it gets me outdoors where I can see wildlife (snakes even!) and listen to the birds sing
  • it gets my blood pumping and that elevates my mood while making my legs stronger
  • I listen to music -- really listen

All three of these things feed my soul.

Yay! I'm glad you got to go ride. I agree with your list of reasons you love your bike. I love feeling the wind on my face and the sun on my back. Every ride feels like freedom.

Do you keep the ipod on and not talk to each other? Give a list of your music. I'm going to be biking a lot by myself this spring. I'll need the company.

*sigh* I got to ride yesterday...and blew out my back tire. :(

I love the same things about riding, and also I love the feeling of the breeze (when it's warm) against my skin.

"Every ride feels like freedom."

Wow, Tena, that is spot on.

Jan - we talk on the ride out & plug in our iPods for the ride back in.

Cammy - Dang! Flat tire! I fear getting one when I'm alone and 15 miles out. Although there are worse things like homicidal oak trees. I like to feel the air and the sun too.

Riding my bike is my most favorite outdoor activity. There's something about the whoosh you get when the wind blows in your face. It makes me feel free, and I love it.

I love riding my bike as well. I need to get a kid trailer for my daughter so that I can get out and ride again. I miss it. Thanks for the inspiration.

I want a bike, too.
That sill probably be my next major purchase!
