dignity is a metal bikini
Congrats to Carrie Fisher for strengthening her health by losing a lot of weight. Hopefully, her success will inspire other women over the age of 50 to make efforts to improve their health and fitness levels. But, for the love of god, please leave the metal bikini to our fond memories.

I'll be the disagreer here. If she wants to wear the damn thing, let her.
I'm happy for Carrie Fisher, but sad for me. She was one of the few celebrities I could point to and say, "See, we don't all have to be slim!" Now that she's done it, I feel like I don't have her to fall back on. Damn it.
I, too, have fifty pounds to lose and it is harder after fifty (I'm almost 60 actually. I'm glad I found your blog for inspiration.
