We finally went for a bike ride yesterday on the American River trail. Spotted this bird nesting box that had been given some extra flair. You can't tell from this photo but the green heart is glittery. A nice touch.I recovered the daily mile widget that was somehow lost when I changed the blog template. We rode 16 miles and it felt great to be back riding and listening to tunes on the iPod.

I'm a wimp too when it comes to riding in rain. Heck, I haven't been riding because it's been foggy & chilly. Yesterday was somewhat sunny and almost 60 deg. The calm before the storm.
Glad you got to ride! I'm not fond of the rain either. If I didn't wear glasses it might not be so bad. It's hard to see with rain on your specs :)

I too rode about 16 miles today but sadly it was in a car and included one visit to a McDonald's drive-thru. You are an inspiration!
I'll cycle in the rain in Oregon, but I'd be hesitant to do so in California. People tend to forget how to drive in the rain.
I'm going to get back in the saddle next week. No, really. I am.
