time to declutter

The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like,
and do what you'd rather not.
-- Mark Twain

We've had ten gray, rainy days in a row here in northern California. Not conducive for cycling, especially for us fair weather bikers. It is, however, great weather for indoor projects. We're about to launch the declutter and organize the home office project. This is something I'd rather not do, but hey, it's just another aspect of a fit life, right?

Check out the decluttering Karen has been doing at fitcetera. Inspiring!

Since the sun has not been around much. It's been more important than ever to keep up with vitamin D intake from supplements. Are you taking your vitamin D? Have you had your vitamin D levels tested? Nudge, nudge.

More on the almighty D from Dr. Weil:
Don't be concerned that 2,000 IU will give you too much. With exposure to sunlight in the summer, the body can generate between 10,000 IU and 20,000 IU of vitamin D per hour with no ill effects. In addition, no adverse effects have been seen with supplemental vitamin D intakes up to 10,000 IU daily.

I'm ready for a trip to Mexico! These gray/grey skies are the pits. Ah, but if we were in a drought, I'd be whining about that too.

I like the author of this book. Wish I had time to read it.

Love the decluttering.
Im a year out from my clutter challenge for myself and am revisiting it all next week.

Im sort of afraid to see where Ive backslid but plan to rectify that STAT.

Staying indoors during bad weather days can prove to be really productive. I've got a huge closet to declutter this weekend and I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it.

I love to organize and be organized. Doesn't help the fact that we have to clean the basement this weekend. I can't think of many worse things. I'm going to have my lunch in the sun right now before it leaves us again tomorrow!

First of all, Mark Twain rules! Secondly, I just wanted to share something I once heard -- original source unknown -- concerning clutter. It went something like this: "Clutter is just a decision delayed." I liked it a lot.

I can't paint in the rain but my front door needs a coat (of paint). Not a coat of fabric.

And as for organizing, oh jeez. Yeah, your'e right - it is part of a fit life, good point, good point, I need to get on that now - just like everything else I need to do now!
