This made me reflect more honestly about why my previous week's progress was so small and disappointing. Even though I had exercised more, I had also consumed a large bag of peanut M&Ms, some of which I tossed into my movie theater popcorn. I can't expect good results when I eat this way.
So, I'm kind of excited to see what will happen this week when I stay on track with food choices and do some sort of exercise everyday. Is it realistic to expect a three or four pound loss? We shall see.

Good for you! I read that 1 or 2 pounds a week is healthy and what you should shoot for so you are right on track! Great job!
And although you had a setback with the M&Ms, at least you exercised more ... that helps to balance it out.
Keep on going!!!
You're right. I should be happy with a 1 to 2 pound loss each week instead of right away setting an even higher weight loss goal.
I just read a comment at another weight loss type blog where the commenter said she often loses 3 lbs over night. A typo? I thought at first she meant 3 oz. No, 3 lbs. Jeebus! For that to happen to me, we'd be talking life-threatening dysentery with no sleep whatsoever. I'll continue onward with my turtle metabolism.
Great job with the weight loss!! Keep up the good job.
