thought for food

"We need to fundamentally change how we look at food."

I'm heading off to San Francisco to meet a friend who's there for a conference. I haven't seen her in about ten years. I'm excited! On the other hand, I'm a little nervous because I'm going alone and am not looking forward to driving in the city. Thinking about taking bart from Walnut Creek. That way I won't have to be a nervous wreck driving and looking for nonexistent parking. I'll also be guaranteed to do some walking. Heat wave in nor cal. Even in SF it's gonna be a warm one today.

What's up with you?

Have fun in San Francisco! I vote for BART - leave the driving and parking to them.

Interesting video. I've read some of the press of him and his book. He does make some good points. It is interesting to determine where self-determination meets the corporate complex. Marketing matching wits with mindfulness.

I don't have time to watch the video right now so will later. Have a great time in SF!!! Walking in SF will help that butt due to hills! Might have to steer clear of the sourdough bread & the Ghirardelli chocolate!!! :-)

HAVE FUN!

I'm going to SF in the fall, and I'm planning on leaving my car at the airport. I am a big chicken! :)

Enjoy your visit!

Thanks for the video Lee, I really respect the author, from what I know about him. I may pick up a copy of the book, just to reaffirm what I think I already know.

I hope you are having a great time in SF with your friend! We had a rain shower last night and again today, to cool things off a tiny bit, but the humidity...whoa.

Interesting video. I'm trying to keep the ingredients in my meals as simple as possible - which is how I image my body was built to process it that way.

I wasn't hungry until that piece of carrot cake kept coming up on screen. Now I want me some.

Love the Pee Wee Herman pic on top. You can't wear a frown with Pee Wee around.

Interesting video. Thanks for that. It's good to be reminded that the foods we love are made purposely with sugar and fat so that we will keep eating them. I wonder how long it will take for the food industry to be more responsible. I think it's just now beginning.
