Monday weigh in

This has been the first week in a while where we haven't gone somewhere for an overnight trip (Berkeley and last week San Francisco). Although we went wine tasting locally on Sat., this week saw some satisfying results on the sometimes capricious and fickle scale. Last week: 144.6. Today: 142.8. Just about two pounds. Yaay! This week also marked the addition of bike riding into the exercise repertoire. We had back to back rides on the American River trail of 10 & 14 miles. The biking was great although it's become clear that it's time to invest in either cycling shorts or a different type of bike seat. Or both. Yikes.

Here's to a great week ahead! Be well...

I had that same bike seat 'situation' last year. Invested in a much kinder bike seat but for some reason the problem was not completely solved. Bike shorts would help.
Those seats aren't made for females.

Congrats on the weight loss.

Wahoo!!!! You go girl! I also saw your other exercise changes on Kristi's blog. I think it is great that you are listening to your body & making changes accordingly! That is the key.

Like you, I hit a point a while back with my aging hormones & had to take out some of my oatmeal meals & replace with food that is just as good. I used to eat oatmeal with my protein powder alot! Even though it is good for you, I had to make the change... although I still eat it, just not as much.

Good news on the weight loss - congrats. That bike riding sure seems to be helping.

Congratulations Lee! That is fantastic, and most impressive being so close to your goal.

I know the pain you speak of...you would think someone would come up with a better bike seat design for women. And those bike shorts are so flattering on my pear-shaped body!

And I hear you on the seat. Oww. Definitely worth investing in a new one.
