Two steps forward, one back

Finally sat down and watched the step aerobics DVD. I liked it. Tried some segments and was grateful to do this in complete privacy let-me-tell-you sistah & brotha. The DVD that came with the Reebok step was almost as good so it'll do just fine. Not sure how this is going to play out with my right knee but I'm going to give it a shot.

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill today. Felt great. If hubbysan was home I'd ask if he'd take a "sweaty pic" of me. Another time.

Overall, feeling ready to get serious about getting fit.

Confession: my step back (setback) was eating the rest of the Haagen Dazs Extra Rich Light Vanilla Bean last night. About 400 calories. I know!

I have trouble with my right knee, too. If the step gets to be too much, just do the steps without it. Pretend like you're using and step up and back. And put some ice on it after. You probably know all this! :)

Thanks for the compliment you left for me. Let's keep workin' at it! Yea, you had some ice cream. It's not the end of the world. Just don't buy anymore for awhile!

Hi Tena,

Thanks for stopping by and for the encouragement. I'll try the ice thing on my knee.

Sun's back out today and it's inspiring me to get serious about choosing a bike. I looked up your bike -- it's very cool looking. My husband loves to do research before we buy anything. He was excited about a line of bikes Trek has that are made for paved bike trails. I'm going to check it out. There's a small independent bike shop here that carries trek. We'll see...

Happy Monday!

Haagen-Dazs chocolate chocolate chip is my downfall. I just don't buy it.

Yep. This type of sugar laden stuff needs to stay at the store.
