Looks like I've finally made it into the 130s - just barely! Last week:
142. Today:
139.8. This week the weather was much improved so exercise happened outside. There were a couple six mile walks and a full afternoon of biking in Yosemite. But probably most importantly, I ate well with the exception of Cinco de Mayo (and only dinner was iffy). That's what I'm learning: you can still make progress without being perfect. And the flip side is you can work hard and not see the results you expect -- at least not right away. It is what it is. In the overall scheme of things, life is good.
Have a great week & watch out for the three amigos!

Wow! You are rocking this. Woo Hoo!
Thank you for your kind words and mention, I appreciate it.
Oh, that is a big milestone Lee! Way to go. A 2.2 pound loss doesn't come eay at your size. I am blown a way!!
Great going on the new number. Way to go!!! Biking in Yosemite - I'm SO jealous. What a beautiful part of the world.
So true - making progress without being perfect. As the saying goes, we should all "loosen the bone in the bun, Wilma."
"Losen the bone in the bun, Wilma."
This made me laugh so hard.
Thanks, Gigi.
Patty - it does feel like reaching a milestone! You're going to be reaching the 140s pretty soon & we'll have to toast each other with low sodium V-8 or if we're feeling saucy, Michelob Light.
Roxie - I have mentioned how much I like your avatar/profile pic? I always picture you running by with a shout out. ~thanks~
Congrats on the loss and the milestone! Woo Hoo! I'm jealous, too, about biking in Yosimite. Got any pics?
I can hardly believe those sodium amounts. Are they trying to kill us?
Tena - They (Chili's, Red Lobster & Olive Garden) may not be overtly trying to kill us but addict us with their crap-for-our-health food, oh yeah.
We took a couple photos while biking around the valley floor -- will try to get them posted later.
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! How exciting Lee!!!! Just in time for The Biggest Loser finale! Every little step is an accomplishment & the learning process you wrote about: you can still make progress without being perfect. And the flip side is you can work hard and not see the results you expect -- at least not right away. It is what it is.
Relish in your great strides forward!!!!
Woo-hoo on the 130s!!
This: "you can still make progress without being perfect. "
One of the big lessons I learned, too. For too many years I equated eating healthy with eating perfectly. Wrong. :)
Congrats on the loss. But you know what really stood out with this post? You sound like you're feeling great.
Way to go, Mom!! I'm so proud of you!
Jody - Funny, I did think about the timing with the Biggest Loser finale. Thanks for the cheers!
Cammy - thanks! You're a great inspiration heading into maintenance.
Camevil - you're right. I feel great. ~thanks~
Sara - made me tear up...love you XXOXXXO
